Training kickstarter: Safety music video is a hit with workers

Here’s a good video to show to start your next safety meeting or training session. 

Hip hop songs and music videos might not be the first things that come to mind when you think of workplace safety. But an annual contest at Newport News Shipbuilding promotes safety by challenging workers to come up with raps all about avoiding hazards and staying safe on the job.

The prize for the top video is $1,000, plus Newport’s parent company will produce a professional music video for the song.
